The Clouds

Recently I’ve been through a lot of hardship. My family has left a church that we were very invested in, and we’ve all been having a hard time keeping up relationships that were rooted there.

I was in the car, thinking about this yesterday, and mourning my losses, when I decided to pray for guidance. I clasped my hands and asked God to give me guidance in hard times. And as I was praying, I felt like He was just telling me to look up. Not sure what this would mean, I did, and I saw a sky full of clouds. Discouraged, I felt upset.

I have always not liked cloudy skies, because I feel like I’m be trapped down here on Earth, with no way out. But then I realized what God was trying to tell me.

The clouds signify hardship. Down here on earth, we live in a world of darkness. The clouds block out the light as Satan attempts to block out God’s Light. But clouds never stay forever, and I knew right then that those clouds would be cleared soon. The Devil will not be able to stay for long, for soon is the day when God will rescue us from Satan’s pit of darkness.

The memory of this moment will be with me for a long while, and as I go through bad times, I will remember that if we serve God, he will guide and protect us.

I’m asking all of you today to remember that, even when clouds cover the sky, God will soon be coming to clear them away, and reveal the sun.

Lord bless you and keep you! I’ll see you all soon next time. Thank you for listening.
